Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from patients and families.

What is home health care?
Home health care is medical and supportive care provided in a patient's home. It includes skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, personal care, and more — delivered by licensed professionals.
Who qualifies for home health care?
Patients who are homebound, have a qualifying medical condition, and have a physician's order for home health services typically qualify. Our team can help verify your eligibility.
How do I start home health services?
Call us at (972) 479-1500, submit our online admission form, or have your physician refer you directly. We'll verify your insurance, create a care plan, and schedule your first visit — usually within 24–48 hours.
Is home health care covered by insurance?
Yes, in most cases. Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans cover qualifying home health services. Our billing team will verify your coverage at no charge before services begin.
How are your caregivers vetted?
All Reliant First staff undergo comprehensive background checks, license verification, drug screening, and competency testing before being assigned to any patient.
